Town: Moortown is a rural village located just outside of Tavistock, an ancient market town, and the Dartmoor National Park's sprawling moors. Wander to Pew Tor for panoramic views of the countryside and take peaceful walks around Windy Post Granite Cross. A short drive will take you to The Whitchurch Inn for a hearty, warming meal, or for a larger selection of restaurants, venture into Tavistock, which offers a variety of cuisine. Tavistock also has the largest outdoor market in the UK, the Tavistock Pannier Market, and the Grade I-listed Tavistock Parish Church. Plymouth, a beautiful area with plenty to see and do, is located further afield. The National Marine Aquarium is a great place to visit, especially for nature enthusiasts, and Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park provide a beautiful setting for a day out. Jennycliff Beach is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking views on a sunny day.
