The neighbouring village of Bowness has a cinema, museums and even more shops and eateries, and you can take a trip on the steamer around Windermere lake and hop on and off to explore. Take a trip to The World of Beatrix Potter, 1 mile away, and history enthusiasts will love visiting the stately homes nearby including Sizergh, Levens Hall and Holker Hall, all within 15 miles. Spend a day exploring the magnificent Langdale Valley, 10 miles away, with its rugged mountains and peaceful tarns a must for any avid fell walker. Treat yourself to a well deserved meal at one of the traditional pubs on your way back home. With exposed beams and a recessed archway, these original features add a touch of authentic charm to this elegant cottage. Enter the inviting entrance hall and head through to the bright living/dining room. With the two sofas positioned in front of the gas fire, settle down at the end of the day, a mug of hot chocolate in hand and a film on the Smart TV. The wooden dining table seats up to six guests, perfect for sociable mealtime gatherings. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Upstairs there are two spacious and light bedrooms. The first king size bedroom has ample storage and an en suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower cubilce. The second king size bedroom has a wall mounted TV and can be made up as a twin room upon request. The family shower room completes the upstairs. Outside there is parking for one car in a carport and a resident s permit is provided for on street parking if you need to park a second car or have a car that doesn't fit under the carport.
