Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. Why not hire a bike and go for a ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast of Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury, which is home to the country s oldest Cathedral. Visit the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church which form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage site.
