This characterful property is ideally suited for couples or families to enjoy a seaside retreat. It offers comfortable accommodation and has easy access to the high street, beach and harbour. Whitstable is a delightful seaside town that offers plenty of activities. The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. Why not hire a bike and go for a ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast of Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury, which is home to the country s oldest Cathedral. Visit the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church which form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage site. Decorated with a nautical theme throughout, this property is sure to remind you you re beside the seaside. The lounge, with exposed floorboards, is a wonderful place to relax in the evenings, thanks to its gas flame effect fire, TV and DVD. Over in the dining room, there is a table and chairs perfect for both hearty breakfasts and intimate evening meals, while the kitchen offers all the home comforts you could need in the form of an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The property s shower room can also be found on the ground floor, with its shower cubicle and WC. Upstairs are the cottage s three bedrooms: a double, a twin and a single (please note: the single can only be reached via the twin bedroom). Outside, guests are able to relax in the enclosed patio garden, complete with furniture and summerhouse, perfect for an outdoor meal or an evening drink. Roadside parking outside the property is sometimes available, and there is also a public car park close by.
