Staunton on Wye is a small village located within the heart of the Herefordshire countryside, well served with a village pub. A well stocked farm shop is just 1.5 miles away. This great location is perfect for walkers as you can easily explore the Black Mountains, Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills all offering outstanding scenery no matter what the season. There are many traditional Herefordshire villages and market towns to visit, including Hay on Wye (10 miles), famous for its book shops and festivals, and Hereford (10.5 miles) with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. There are many National Trust properties nearby too, including The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival and Bishops Castle Folk festival. The cottage benefits from mature hedgerows and an enclosed garden to the front. Step inside the traditional front door into the entrance lobby, a perfect place for walking boots and coats. There is also a cloakroom with WC and a washer/dryer. From here you will enter the kitchen/diner, finished with shaker style units and solid wooden worktops. It is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher. For dining, there is a table and chairs for four guests. The lounge is accessed from here where you can relax in front of the Smart TV after a busy day. The room has been cleverly divided with original beams and offers a cosy space where you can hide away with a good book. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, a double room with views towards the Welsh Hills, and a double room with countryside views. There is a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a table and chairs for summer dining. Here you can relax and enjoy the views. There is off road parking for two cars and storage for bikes.
