The bustling town of Wooler is 8 miles north with a wide range of shops selling local produce, galleries, a golf course, bars, and restaurants to try. Walkers, cyclists, and explorers will be spoilt for choice as the National Park is on the doorstep with wide open spaces and dark starry skies. Visit Rothbury for Cragside House (10.4 miles) and the Simonside Hills (16.5 miles), the market town of Alnwick for the magnificent Castle and Gardens (10.5 miles), and drive to sandy beaches, like Alnmouth (4.5 miles) along the coast. The village has a shop and there is a popular pub and restaurant nearby (1.5 miles). This charming cottage has plenty of character, quality furnishing, and stylish touches to help you enjoy a lovely holiday. Walk through the entrance door to find the bright kitchen/diner with everything you need at your fingertips, including an electric oven and hob, a fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. There is a dining table with seating for four where you can enjoy your meals together and a small DVD player for entertainment. Head through to the lounge with stone feature walls and exposed beams adding to the charm, and your focus immediately lands on the large, stone fireplace. This is an inviting space to unwind, relaxing back on the comfortable seating in front of the warming multi fuel burner after days out exploring this fabulous area. There are books to read and games to play, plus a Smart TV for catching up on some of your favourite movies. Just off the lounge is a shower room with a wet room style shower and WC. The open tread stairs lead up to the first floor where both bedrooms are nestled in the spacious eaves, each with storage space for your things. One bedroom features a lovely king size bed with TV and the other is a twin bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is a small, enclosed patio area with a built in brick BBQ, perfect for al fresco drinks and dinner. Parking for one car is allocated in front of the property and additional parking space is available less than 50 metres away.
