This lovely cottage is brimming with history and a short stroll will bring you to the centre of the village; an idyllic setting with a famous chocolate shop that offers handcrafted delights. For walkers, Orton Scar and the Howgills are an exciting prospect for an afternoon excursion, and it is easy to see why this beautiful landscape was so celebrated by renowned fell walker and author Alfred Wainwright. You are in a fantastic position with the Lake District to the West and the Yorkshire Dales to the East with many great places to visit for a day out. Walking into this hidden gem you will be in awe of the grand high ceilings and rustic design. There is a useful internal space to store two bikes if required. Heading into the lounge which has space for all the family to enjoy some games or a movie night whilst having the wood burner roaring away. There is a corner sofa along with a two seater sofa in front of the Smart TV which is ideal to kick back and relax. The kitchen has a traditional feel but offers everything you would need to rustle up a feast for the family. There is an AGA, separate electric cooker, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. On the first floor is the two double bedrooms and then the bathroom is located on the ground floor with a bath, separate shower and WC. There is a cosy bunk room located off the kitchen with its own TV, ideal for the kids to enjoy. Heading outside is a small gravelled area with table and chairs and there is private parking for up to two cars.
