Pop to Acton Scott Victorian Farm and the Severn Valley Railway in Bridgnorth. Well worth a visit is medieval Shrewsbury, with independent shops, a castle, theatre, riverside boat trips, an abbey, and museums. Activities on offer include hang gliding on the Mynd, pony trekking on Wenlock Edge, and walking and cycling in and around Shropshire to name but a few.
