The market town of Keswick is a great base to explore the Northern Lakes, situated between Derwentwater (0.5 miles) and Bassenthwaite (3.5 miles). You can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, or explore the magnificent fells which are on your doorstep. Latrigg is less than 2 miles away whilst Cat Bells and Skiddaw are within 5 miles. The town has a nice selection of dog friendly pubs, restaurants, and independent shops to explore, and it hosts the mountain festival annually with world class sports, lots of outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music events which take place beside the lake. For the more adventurous, visit Whinlatter Forest, less than 5 miles away. There are great tracks to explore here or for younger members of the family, follow the Gruffalo trail. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the cosy lounge, with an electric effect fire, wall mounted TV with DVD player and comfortable sofas. The lounge opens into the kitchen, which is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. There is also a dining area to enjoy breakfast and plan the day ahead. The staircase leads off the lounge up to the first floor. There is a pretty twin bedroom which is suited more for children as the beds are 2ft 6" wide, a king size bedroom and there is a family bathroom across the hallway with a shower over the bath and WC. Although the property has no garden, Fitz Park is 0.2 miles away and has lots of open space, a coffee shop and some amazing views over the fells. There is private parking for one car 25 meters from the property. There are shops, restaurants and pubs in the immediate area.
