This delightful cottage, less than 0.5 miles from the centre of Keswick, offers a home away from home stay with a sociable open plan layout and outdoor dining area. Keswick is a hub for outdoor activities, so you ll find plenty of shops and adventure companies to help you explore the spectacular landscape. Head to Derwentwater (1 mile) to take a waterside stroll or a majestic cruise across the lake. You ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walks; Catbells (5.5 miles) is a fantastic fell for all ages and abilities. It s one of the smaller fells in the area but is no less impressive. The views from its summit, across Derwentwater and the Borrowdale Valley, are simply breathtaking. Step in through the front door and into the bright open plan lounge/diner. A sofa and armchairs are arranged around a cosy electric fire, set in a beautiful ornamental fireplace. Relax here in the evening, watching the TV/DVD or reading a book. A glass dining table overlooks the rear courtyard and is a lovely spot to come together for dinner and to chat about your day. A step leads from here to the kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge. You ll find a utility room which houses the freezer, washing machine/dryer and a dishwasher. There s also a handy ground floor WC. Follow the cottage style stairs to the first floor, to discover two tastefully decorated bedrooms. The first is a gorgeous double, boasting fabulous rooftop views. The second is a relaxing twin, which looks out towards the distant fells. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom, comprising a shower over the bath and a WC. The cottage has two charming outdoor areas. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture and a smattering of pretty pot plants, where you can enjoy al fresco dining on warm summer days. At the front of the cottage is a seating area with a bistro set where you can sip a morning coffee and watch the world go by. On street parking is available on the same street as the cottage, as well as in the neighbouring streets.
