Cottage In Keswick, Cumbria

Keswick, Cumbria

4

Wander a mile into the heart of Keswick and you will find plenty to keep you entertained. Work your way around the delicious eateries, stock up on essentials, visit the pair of museums, board a boat across Derwentwater or treat yourselves to a show at Theatre by the Lake. If you want to explore the water but fancy paddling your own route, hire a boat and make a splash for a fun filled day out. If you need to stretch your legs, walk 1 mile to Castlerigg Stone Circle and enjoy the far reaching views. 6.5 miles from home is Catbells, either jump in the car or make the trip by boat and summit the fell for panoramic views. Head inside this quirkily shaped home and find yourself in the dining room. Make use of the storage cupboard by the door which is handy when you re returning from walks. Filled with natural light and warmed by a roaring wood burner, the dining room has a table which comfortably seats all four guests so you can enjoy meals together. From here, head into to the bright kitchen which has an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and dishwasher. Past a small partition wall, find the utility area which has a fridge (with small freezer compartment and ice tray), a washer/dryer, clothes drying rail and coat rack. This space leads into a small shower room with WC. After dinner, head upstairs to the first floor where you can find the inviting lounge with sloped ceilings, exposed beams and lovely views. Entertain yourselves and play games, read books or sit in front of the TV with Blu ray DVD player for a chilled night in. When it s time to rest your head, return downstairs where the two bedrooms reside. Step down from the dining room and into the stylish double bedroom with en suite bathroom and drift off amid tranquil tones. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC so you can start your day with a soak or a quick rinse. Step up two steps from the dining room to reach the cosy twin bedroom where splashes of colour create an inviting ambience. Take care of internal steps as you move between rooms as the ground floor is set over different levels. Wake up and head straight outside to enjoy some fresh air. A door leads from the dining room to the enclosed outside space, and four steps (with a handrail) take you down to the multi level paved garden. Enjoy al fresco feasts and sundowner drinks in this quaint, pretty area and set up the recliner chairs hiding away in the garage to bask in the sun. Take care as you navigate your way around as the garden is split over different levels and you ll find it hard to take your eyes off the wonderful view. There is storage for bikes and outdoor gear in the garage. There is one off road parking space just to the left of the front of the house, in front of the garage door.
