Kendal nestles in the southern Lakes is known as the southern gateway to the national parks and offers plenty of local attractions such as Sizergh Castle, Kendal Castle, and Levens Hall and has an array of shops and eateries to choose from. There are plenty of great locations to visit with Lake Windermere nearby and the well known Lakeland villages of Windermere, Ambleside, and Bowness all a short drive away offering great days out. The property has been built on the site of the Kendal Mint Cake Factory in a traditional and empathetic manner using the original stonework, with ceiling beams downstairs and slate windowsills throughout. Walking through the front door you can hang your coat and take off your boots in the porch area before you begin your holiday and then head into your getaway. The open plan living area is the hub of the house with the relaxing lounge area offering two sofas surrounding the gas stove fire and Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is a great space for all to get involved, be it cooking or sitting and discussing the events of the day. There is a large selection of books and board games as well as maps and guidebooks to keep you entertained and inspired for adventures ahead. Heading up to the first floor we have the main bedroom with a king size bed with a built in wardrobe. There is a twin room and the family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. There is a small patio area with seating to enjoy a morning coffee or evening wine.
