The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley are all within easy reach. There are an abundance of National Trust properties locally, Hergest Croft Gardens, Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, Hampton Court Gardens, The Weir and the Brecon and Hereford Cathedral which features the The Mappa Mundi and Chained Library Exhibition to name but a few. Hay on Wye is famous for its bookshops and festivals yet still retains its old market town atmosphere.
