Windermere, just a short drive from the property is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before hiring a boat on the water or hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down Windermere at a relaxing pace. Coniston, only a short drive away is known for its rich history and the interesting Ruskin Museum which takes visitors on a journey through the village s past. A little closer to your retreat you can enjoy family attractions or outdoor pursuits at the famous home of Beatrix Potter, or at the forest at Grizedale, which makes the location entertaining for couples and families alike.
