With everything you need right on your doorstep in the picturesque village of Grasmere, this is the ideal spot to enjoy all the Lakes has to offer. In the village, find pubs, cafes and restaurants and little gift shops to peruse. From the doorstep, there are plenty of low level strolls and more challenging routes for experienced hikers. Explore the National Trust woodland, take a scenic walk around the lake or venture up to picturesque Easedale Tarn (2.5 miles). For a longer day out on the fell tops, head up Steel Fell (2.5 miles from the door) and Helm Crag (1.5 miles). 5 miles away is the village of Ambleside, right at the top of Lake Windermere, where you can take a boat tour on the lake, hire a kayak or paddle boat and enjoy the amazing views from the lakeside. Keswick and Windermere are within 12 miles and offer a range of outdoor activities and a varied selection of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Leave coats and boots in the spacious hallway and head through to the living/dining room. A beautifully bright room, there are wonderful views from the dual aspect windows. The comfortable sofa and two armchairs are positioned around the electric fire, perfect for cosy evenings in. Settle down with a movie on the Smart TV, or simply relax with a good book. Gather everyone around the wooden dining table for sociable mealtimes, catching up on the day's events. The bright, modern kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and has access to the outside. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and there is a further shower room. Up the open tread stairs, there are two beautiful bedrooms. The king size bedroom has a wardrobe and stunning views over the surrounding fields and fells. The double bedroom has its own en suite WC. Outside, there is a small patio area with a bistro table and chairs, a lovely spot for an al fresco aperitif in warm weather. There is off road parking for one car, however you may be able to fit two small cars in the space depending on their size.
