Visitors can enjoy boating on Grasmere Lake, explore the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden, and embark on numerous scenic walks, including a trek up Helm Crag. Upon entering the cottage, guests are welcomed into a cozy open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area characterized by its charming low beamed ceilings. The inviting space features comfortable seating, a wood burner for warmth, and a Smart TV for entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer, allowing for effortless meal preparation. A separate utility room adds convenience with a microwave and washer/dryer, and the farmhouse table by the window provides a lovely setting for dining together.
As night falls, guests can retreat to the first floor, where two well-appointed bedrooms await. The king-size bedroom, complete with a TV, boasts an en suite bathroom that features a luxurious rainforest shower above a classic roll-top bath. The second bedroom, a twin, also includes a TV and an en suite shower room. Both rooms offer stunning views of the surrounding Lake District landscape, ensuring a refreshing wake-up experience each morning.
The cottage also features a split-level garden, perfect for soaking up the sun on warm days. Guests can dine al fresco on the slate terrace while enjoying the beautifully landscaped lawns and flower beds that provide a picturesque backdrop. Additionally, there is a restored composting WC in the garden, which adds a touch of historic interest, though it is not intended for use. A large shared parking area is available for convenience, completing the idyllic setting for a memorable Lakeland getaway.
