Coniston, Cumbria

This property sits in the fells above the lakeside village of Coniston, overlooking Coniston Water. The village is a popular destination for tourists to the area, as it not only offers a good range of shops and pubs, but is also home to a well equipped boating centre from where visitors can hire a range of craft to take out onto the lake. On the edge of the village, the Old Man of Coniston looks down on the lake and is the perfect place for keen walkers of all abilities, as there are several different trails of varying challenge, all of which enjoy the same spectacular far reaching views from the summit. For those looking for even more adventure, there are a number of activity centres in the local area which can take keen visitors out to have a try at gorge walking, ghyll scrambling, and abseiling. The front door of this property opens onto the kitchen/diner, a welcoming room with a dining table and all the equipment that guests will need to make themselves at home during their stay, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer. Moving through to the lounge, guests will find a comfortable room that is flooded with light thanks to the patio doors which lead out onto the terrace. A sofa and two plump armchairs are positioned around a warming wood burner, and there is also a Smart TV, should guests be able to take their eyes off the picture perfect views of Coniston Water. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor of the property, the first of which is a double room which benefits from an en suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom on this floor is a bunk bedroom suitable for accommodating two children, whilst there is also a bathroom with a shower over roll top bath and a WC. The third bedroom is located in the attic space on the second floor, a double room with its own TV, which has some reduced head space due to its location in the eaves of the house. Double doors from the lounge lead out to a terrace affording stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Steps lead down from here onto another terrace, offering a second outside seating space, for which a table and chairs and a BBQ are provided. There is also the added addition of a bike store. There is parking for one cars, but please note that the road leading to the property is steep and not suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance. There is also secure bike storage available if it is required.
