Clitheroe, Lancashire

Nestled at the foot of Whalley Nab, alongside the River Calder, sits this stunning holiday home, it is opposite the beautiful 14th century local parish church. The picturesque village of Whalley is home to a whole host of trendy shops, bars and eateries, including an award winning wine shop and bar at the end of the street. Whalley s most famous attraction is Whalley Abbey, the ruins of a Cistercian abbey dating back to the 14th century. Set in the stunning Ribble Valley on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, there is an abundance of scenic walks and cycle trails straight from the doorstep. Enjoy a stroll with your four legged friends along the river or take a 4 mile walk through fields to the market town of Clitheroe, home to its very own medieval castle, or climb the Nab for stunning views across the Ribble Valley, out to the Fylde coast and Yorkshire s Three Peaks. Step through the front door of this charming, beamed, 18th century listed cottage, where no attention to detail has been spared, and leave your coats and muddy boots in the entrance porch. A beautiful contemporary glass doorway leads through to the lounge where you can cosy up on the sofas in front of the gas fire and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Continue through to the bright and spacious kitchen/diner, which is filled with natural light. At one end of this room lies a contemporary kitchen area, fitted with stylish, contemporary units and equipped with everything you should need for preparing delicious meals, including an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. At the other end, a dining table sits next to a striking turquoise wall and lovely artwork providing the ideal place to sit in the morning and enjoy a delicious coffee from the Nespresso machine. Upstairs, you will find two uniquely decorated bedrooms, a king size room and a double; both rooms benefit from en suite shower rooms with a shower and WC. There's much to be appreciated outside too with a large patio area providing an excellent place to relax in the sun and dine alfresco. An outhouse sits at the rear featuring a washing machine and tumble dryer and also provides somewhere safe to leave bicycles. There is on street parking (subject to availability).
