Barmston is a pretty village lying less than half a mile from the Yorkshire coastline and a long sandy beach. Situated between the large seaside town of Bridlington and Hornsea, you can explore the miles of long sandy beaches and rugged coastline by foot, bike or car. The village itself boasts a pub serving hearty food. Further up the coast visit Flamborough Head (14 miles) and Bempton Cliffs (13 miles), a scenic stretch of white chalk cliffs with coastal hikes, birdwatching and historic lighthouse towers. Visit Burton Agnes Hall (8 miles), a grand manor house with a notable art collection, a walled garden, a courtyard cafe and craft shops, or head to Sledmere House (21 miles), an 18th century house with a park and garden. Inside this traditional, white painted, stone cottage you ll find homely touches and character aplenty. Stepping into the kitchen/diner, you ll find everything you need to make packed lunches or a three course meal, including an electric hob/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Take your meal over to the dining table which seats up to six and plans your adventures for the rest of your stay. After dinner, make your way into the comfortable lounge, furnished with deep leather sofas amidst a wood burner and Freeview TV the perfect place to unwind and relax at the end of your day. When the day is done you will find two bedrooms upstairs: a double bedroom and a charming twin bedroom, both decorated with subtle nautical themes. To complete the accommodation, at the end of the hallway, there is a light and spacious shower room with a double walk in shower and WC. Heading outside you can look forward to enjoying lazy breakfasts in the private and enclosed stone garden. Dine alfresco at the table on warm balmy evenings whilst admiring the peaceful surroundings well into the night. There is private parking for two cars.
