Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

Welcome to a charming 200-year-old stone cottage located in the picturesque Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ideal for up to four guests. This beautifully renovated accommodation features a cosy lounge with a corner dining area, enhanced by a characterful stone flagged floor. A highlight of the living space is the log-burning stove nestled in its original stone fireplace, perfect for those who enjoy a real fire. Guests can purchase logs and kindling locally or request them for a fee in advance. The property also boasts gas-fired central heating, ensuring warmth and comfort throughout your stay.

The cottage includes modern amenities such as a Smart TV with Netflix access, though it is important to note that there is no live television available. Guests can also enjoy watching DVDs from the collection provided. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, refrigerator (without an ice box), toaster, and kettle, along with essential pantry items like milk, tea, and coffee. Due to COVID-19 precautions, some items have been removed for safety reasons. On the first floor, there are two comfortable double bedrooms, and an additional put-up bed can be arranged for a fifth guest at an extra charge. The bathroom features a double-height design with a skylight, complete with a bath and electric shower.

Outside, the property offers a paved yard at the rear and a small garden at the front, providing pleasant outdoor spaces to relax. Conveniently, the cottage is just a three-minute walk from the Hebden Bridge railway station and a five-minute stroll to the town center, where visitors can explore an array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. However, families with children under five should consider certain aspects of the property, such as the lack of baby equipment and the presence of a wood-burning stove, which can pose a hazard. The stone steps leading from the kitchen to the back yard may also require caution.

For families, the cottage's location across from a town park with a safely enclosed play area and skate park adds to its appeal. Additionally, the Park Life Cafe nearby offers delicious food and drinks, including ice cream in warmer months. Guests looking for activities can explore Gaddings Dam and Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, while nature enthusiasts can venture into the stunning landscapes of Peak District National Park and Ogden Water Country Park. Outdoor adventures abound, with opportunities for hiking, biking, and mountain biking, making this cottage a perfect base for both relaxation and exploration in the beautiful North of England.
