This quaint cottage, nestled within the grounds of a historic 14th-century hall house once inhabited by writer and engineer LTC Rolt, is surrounded by an old fruit orchard featuring notable Perry pear trees. The serene environment is complemented by fresh limestone spring water, ideal for brewing exceptional tea, and a small flock of purebred sheep that graze in the vicinity. The hamlet itself consists of just six houses and a Norman church, providing a tranquil setting for visitors.

The cottage is an excellent base for walkers, with direct access to numerous footpaths leading into the picturesque landscape. A nearby hill track offers a scenic route over Stanley Mount to Winchcombe, a historic stone town that was once the capital of Mercia. Winchcombe, located just two miles away, boasts a rich history, including a fine wool church and a variety of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants, making it a delightful destination for exploration and dining.

Orchard Cottage features a straightforward single-floor layout, accommodating up to four guests comfortably, ideally suited for two adults and two children. The main bedroom contains a double bed that can be converted into two singles upon request, while the second bedroom is furnished with two full-sized bunk beds. An ensuite bathroom is accessible from the master bedroom, with guests needing to pass through it to reach the bathroom from the second bedroom. The cottage is well-equipped with electric wall heaters, underfloor heating in the bathroom, and a wood-burning stove, which includes a complimentary first basket of logs.
