This red brick barn, originally a combine harvester shed, has been thoughtfully converted into a comfortable retreat, nestled alongside the Cider House within the Oosland Barns holiday let complex. The property is located in a serene gravel courtyard on a working arable farm, just half a mile from the picturesque River Avon and the quaint village of Bidford-upon-Avon. The owner's family acquired the surrounding barns and fields in the 1960s, and after serving as grain stores in the 1980s, the barns underwent a transformation into holiday accommodations, culminating in their completion in 2015.
The interior of The Combine Shed is designed in a neutral, country-cottage style, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The single-story layout makes it particularly suitable for families and guests with limited mobility, although there are two steps leading up to the front door. The spacious open-plan kitchen-dining-living area features a stunning double-height gabled roof and a cozy woodburner, providing a perfect gathering space for relaxation and meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, and electric cooker, while the dining area comfortably seats four guests. The living space is furnished with large sofas, a coffee table, and a smart TV, ensuring a comfortable environment for leisure time.
The accommodation comprises two well-appointed bedrooms: a main bedroom with a standard double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. Both rooms overlook the rear garden and are equipped with ample storage options, including wardrobes and chests of drawers. The family bathroom is designed for convenience, featuring a full-size bath with a shower, a toilet, and a vanity unit with a mirror. Underfloor heating adds a touch of luxury to the tiled floor, enhancing the overall comfort of the space.
Outside, guests can enjoy a large, fenced garden that includes a lawn, patio, and picnic table, all offering picturesque views of the surrounding farmland. The garden is dog-friendly, allowing guests to bring pets along for their stay, and there's ample space for walking dogs around the farm, provided that guests remain mindful of planted fields. Parking is available for two cars beside the cottage, and a charcoal BBQ is provided for outdoor cooking.
