4

Located in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, this charming former fisherman's cottage offers a delightful seaside retreat for couples and small families. Nestled at the quieter end of Aldeburgh High Street, the cottage is just a short stroll away from local restaurants, pubs, and shops, as well as the picturesque shingle beach. With a capacity to sleep four guests, it serves as an ideal base for exploring the stunning Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it a perfect getaway for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.

Upon entering the cottage, guests are welcomed into a cozy sitting room that features a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, and a Smart television, complemented by a collection of games and books for entertainment. The modern kitchen, located behind the sitting area, is fully equipped and includes seating for four, making it convenient for meal preparation and dining. A small courtyard garden is accessible from the rear door, providing an outdoor space for relaxation, while an external utility area houses a washing machine and a downstairs toilet for added convenience.

Upstairs, the cottage boasts two inviting bedrooms: a double bedroom overlooking the bustling High Street and a tranquil rear bedroom with twin beds that offers views of the garden. A fully equipped bathroom completes the upstairs layout, ensuring that all essential amenities are readily available. The location of the cottage allows easy access to dining options, such as the nearby Brudenell Hotel, as well as opportunities for beach walks and boat watching along the Alde River Estuary, enhancing the appeal of this charming accommodation.

Additional features of the cottage include the allowance of one well-behaved dog for an extra charge, as well as the availability of a cot, high chair, and stair gate upon request (guests should provide their own linen for the cot). It is important to note that there is no reserved on-road parking directly in front of the property, and parking is limited to two hours between 9 am and 6 pm. The cottage, dating back to 1875, retains its historical charm, but visitors should be aware of its uneven floor surfaces and low ceilings, which are characteristic of older properties.
