With 2 bedrooms capable of sleeping 4, a modern shower room, and open plan living room and fully equipped kitchen, with patio doors leading out to the back garden which commands spectacular views over the Torrance and Kittocks Golf Course and out to the North Sea.

The Space:
A small car park only a two minute walk from the cottage provides free parking for multiple vehicles for each holiday cottage.
The cottage consists of a single ground floor with:
an open plan living room and kitchen,
two bedrooms with four single beds between them,
a bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower,
and patio doors leading from the living room out into the large fully enclosed back garden (ideal for dogs).
Neighbourhood:
Balmashie is a charming development of cottages less than a 5 minute drive from St Andrews, and only minutes from the Fife Coastal Path, commanding spectacular views over the Torrance and Kittocks Golf Course and out to the North Sea.
St Andrews is home to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the famous Old Course. Its amenities include Scotland's oldest university, founded in 1413, beautiful award winning beaches, historic buildings, including the ruins of the cathedral, castle and St Rule's Tower and a wide variety of specialist shops and restaurants. Renowned worldwide as "the home of golf” St Andrews has seven world-class links courses and others in the area include The Dukes, Kingsbarns and the Fairmont St Andrews complex. Within 15 minutes drive you have an absolute wealth of beauty with the East Neuk of Fife and its picturesque towns and villages, including Crail, Elie, Kingsbarns and many more.
Getting Around:
Balmashie is located less than 3 miles from St Andrews, beside the Fairmont Hotel, just of the A917 leading from St Andrews through Boarhills and Kingsbarns, and the East Neuk coastal villages of Crail, Cellardyke, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie, and Earlsferry.
For guests reliant upon public transport, the nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk with Stagecoach running a series of buses along the A917 leading into and out of St Andrews.
Everything in St Andrews is within walking distance, be it the sights, the beaches, the aquarium, the Links golf courses and many more facilities. The bus routes are all frequent and easy to use. Taxis are relatively cheap given the short distances between places in St Andrews.


Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the entire property. No rooms will be off limits and all contents within the cottage are there for our guests use including wifi, the TV and the cooking implements.
Pre-Arrival:
When the booking is confirmed you will receive instructions via a web link with all the necessary information to check yourself in at your leisure from 4pm. If early check in has been purchased check in will be from 3pm. Please note that access is not permitted to the property before this time, and we cannot store any luggage prior to check in.
Check in is via a secure key box for which you will be provided the code prior to arrival.
During Your Stay:
We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay.

This vacation home is located in St. Andrews. Swilken Bridge and Hill of Tarvit are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Craigtoun Country Park and East Sands. British Golf Museum and St. Andrews Aquarium are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including golfing.
