There are very few properties in Cornwall as private as this, yet so close to the sea. The South West Coastal Path meanders around the back of the house and there is a shingle beach 5 metres in front of the property. The Mill itself has been beautifully restored, with amazing attention to detail, and tastefully decorated and furnished while maximising character features. Imagine watching the sun rise over the sea while sipping a morning cup of tea or coffee followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal waters. The property is perfect for adults looking for a quiet retreat, a spot of cold water swimming or a walking holiday. The property also offers Wi-Fi with new fibre broadband and the owners have also thoughtfully provided hair dryers.
Porthpean Beach is just to the north and is sandy, safe and sheltered with rock pools at the south western extremity while at the opposite end the cliffs are mainly populated by nesting birds. There is an 18 hole golf course just above it on the cliff top. The Eden Project is just to the east of St Austell, the Lost Gardens of Heligan a short drive to the south west, the picturesque Roseland Peninsula with its quaint fishing villages is within half an hour’s drive and Newquay’s vibrant surfing lifestyle and golden beaches are a similar distance to the north.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within an easy drive and so this is an excellent location for the keen gardener. Nearby Gorran Haven offers an alternative day out. You can continue south along the coast down to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove. Cliff walks in all directions along the coast offer spectacular views out across the St Austell Bay with the coastal path only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Beach 5 yards.

Located in St Austell, this cottage is on a river. Pinetum Park and Pine Lodge Gardens and Roche Rock are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Eden Project and Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Kidzworld and Mevagissey Aquarium are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
