The town itself is a joyous ramble of leafy boulevards and stunning regency terraces: A short stroll takes to you into the glorious ornamental Pitville Park and the famous Pump Rooms. From here you can carry on toward the racecourse or loop back through the townhouses in Wellington Square and Clarence Square. A leisurely walk through the town centre and along the Promenade soon takes you towards further Georgian splendour in the neighbouring districts of Montpellier and Tivoli, notable for their independent bars, restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Of these, Broadway and Winchcombe can be accessed via steam train from the heritage station near the racecourse. JDR Karting and John Moore Countryside Museum are also worth visiting. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as horse riding in the area.
