Seaside Retreat is set in the heart of Amble, close to the harbour where you will find some lovely little eating places and seats to sit and watch the fishing boats.
This good size holiday home is ideal for couples or a small family with a south facing rear sitting-out area which is fully enclosed and catches the sun until evening. This comfortable holiday home has plenty of space for four and reflects a coastal theme throughout. A walk along the pier is always pleasant with some lovely sunsets to finish off your day. Amble has some bespoke shops, plenty of cafes, fish and chip shops and a highly acclaimed Italian Style Ice Cream Parlour all within easy walking distance.
A pleasant walk along the river brings you to Warkworth about 2 miles, a picture postcard village with the castle sat at the top of the hill, stop off in one of the friendly pubs or cafes. Further along the coast you come to Craster, Seahouses and Bamburgh all steeped in history and lovely for a few hours exploring. A little further past here you can cross the causeway and visit Holy Island for a step back in time experience. The railway station at Alnmouth is only a few minutes’ drive where you can hop onto a train to Edinburgh or Newcastle and spend a great day exploring these historic cities steeped in history.
Alnwick is only 15 minutes away with its majestic castle used in some harry Potter and Downton Abbey scenes, a great experience for both adults and children. Look around the small town exploring the cobbled streets and shops. The beaches up the Northumberland Coast AONB remain unspoilt and underpopulated so there is always a place to find some seclusion should you wish, Cresswell and Druridge Bay beaches remain isolated most of the time and are only a short drive south. Whilst in Northumberland why not take a trip over to Hadrian’s Wall for a completely different day trip away from the coast and discover more about the Romans and the famous Roman Wall. Beach 1 mile.

Located in Morpeth, this cottage is on a river. Warkworth Golf Course and Alnmouth Village Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Northumberland Coast and Queen Elizabeth II Country Park. Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden and Eshott Heugh Animal Park are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with horse riding.
