Hope Cove is a picturesque fishing village nestled in a sheltered bay, offering stunning views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. The area is ideal for families, featuring two sandy beaches perfect for building sandcastles and exploring rock pools. Historically a smuggler's haven, the village retains its maritime charm, with local fishermen still landing crabs and lobsters. The coastal waters are also popular among divers due to the shipwrecks that lie beneath the waves, adding an adventurous element to the area's appeal.

Visitors to Hope Cove can enjoy a variety of dining options, including local pubs and the well-loved café bar, 'The Cove.' The coastal footpath provides access to the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, while the sailing town of Salcombe lies in the other. Cultural attractions in the nearby town of Kingsbridge include the Salcombe Maritime Museum and Overbecks Museum and Garden, as well as outdoor activities at Sea N Shore and Slapton Ley Field Centre, making this region a delightful destination for a seaside getaway.
