Town: Once a busy ferry station for passengers arriving on the Isle of Skye, Kyleakin is now a peaceful fishing community with views of the mainland over a small body of water thanks to the Skye Bridge. Kyleakin is home to a thriving local business district, hotels, and the Bright Water Visitor Center, which honours the history and fauna of the area around Eilean Ban, where Gavin Maxwell, a well-known novelist and naturalist best remembered for his book "The Ring of Brightwater," formerly resided. The Skye Bridge now uses the Isle as a stepping stone. From Kyleakin, buses frequently travel over the bridge to the bustling community of Kyle of Lochalsh.
Located in Isle of Skye, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. Plockton Harbour and Torabhaig Distillery are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Glas Eilean and Loch Carron.
