Guests can explore lower paths leading to Rydal and Grasmere or tackle the higher peaks of Wansfell and the Fairfield Horseshoe. A walk along the River Rothay and up to Loughrigg offers breathtaking views of Lake Windermere, making it a rewarding adventure.
Despite its small-town charm, Ambleside is a bustling tourist destination, boasting a variety of independent shops, restaurants, and pubs.
