Surrounded by 2 acres of established woodland garden, it is ideal for a couple looking for the perfect peaceful escape. The surrounding High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a haven for keen walkers and cyclists with local footpaths and bridleways to explore. For those looking for a spot of excitement, Lingfield racecourse is within walking distance and approximately 6 miles away is the famous Hever Castle and gardens, the former home of Anne Boleyn. Other attractions are Churchill s home at Chartwell and Chiddingstone Castle, both within 9 miles. For a spot of retail therapy, head 5 miles into the nearby town of East Grinstead with its many shops, cafes, and restaurants. The entrance to the cottage leads you into the welcoming hallway that has space for dropping off coats and muddy boots before heading into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is warm and cosy. The lounge area is inviting with a comfortable sofa,( which can be converted into a bed if required) that is perfect for curling up on with a good book after a busy day exploring the local area. The dining table and chairs offer the perfect spot for enjoying a light bite to eat that has been prepared in the charming kitchenette which has a combination microwave oven, a fridge, and a kettle. When it s time to head to bed, a door leads from the hallway to the double bedroom, and a fully accessible wet room with walk in shower and WC completes the accommodation. Outside, there is a courtyard area with a patio table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ. Guests are welcome to relax in the 2 acre woodland garden, being mindful that retreats will be running in the main house. There is private parking for one car and secure bike storage.
