Get ready to explore and head 2 miles to the magnificent Castlerigg Stone Circle for an easy walk from your door. Admire the views before heading back into town and tucking into a tasty plate of food or enjoying a cold drink. Walk a mile from your door to board a boat and take to the water at Derwentwater. Hop on and off and explore the likes of Catbells from Hawse End (2.5 miles), Surprise View from Ashness Gate (3 miles) or Lodore Falls (3.5 miles). If you fancy being in charge, hire a boat or a canoe and paddle the day away. Treat yourselves to a night out and book an evening at the Alhambra cinema or Theatre by the Lake, both within easy walking distance. Step inside and make yourselves at home. The lounge/diner has a comfortable sofa and armchairs, with space for everyone to sit down and curl up in front of the Smart TV. The modern electric fireplace promises to keep you cosy whilst the selection of DVDs, books and games will keep you entertained on nights in. The dining table offers somewhere lovely to enjoy meals together whilst you catch up on the day s events and plan tomorrow s adventure. A step leads to the kitchen where the toaster, kettle, microwave, electric oven with electric hob, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment and washing machine/tumble dryer, supply you with all you need throughout your stay. A handy storage cupboard is located underneath the stairs with clothes drying rail, boot rack, iron and ironing board, and hooks for coats. Here, you will also find the keys for the window locks, back door and shed. Climb the stairs up to the first floor where two bedrooms and a family bathroom await. The single room and double bedrooms both have storage for your clothes and your belongings. Enjoy freshening up in the bathroom with shower over the bath (with slip mat), and WC. Take a drink outside to the enclosed garden where you enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea on the bistro set, and where there's space to store bikes. It's not possible to drive up to the cottage so those arriving by car should try to find parking on Stanger Street, just a few minutes away on foot. Alternatively there are the main car parks in Keswick or the car park on Otley Road.
