Alderneuk Lodge, newly added to the portfolio, is a modern accommodation nestled within the serene grounds of Alderneuk Fishery, located near the quaint village of Terregles in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The lodge boasts stunning views of the rolling Galloway countryside, providing an ideal base for visitors looking to explore the beautiful region. Just a short drive from the historic town of Dumfries, the lodge features an open-plan living area designed for comfort and entertainment. Guests can choose between a sleek breakfast bar that seats three or a traditional dining table that overlooks the scenic glen. For those who enjoy outdoor dining, the patio doors open onto a decked area equipped with seating and a gas BBQ, perfect for al fresco meals.

Located a short stroll from the lodge, Alderneuk Fishery offers a picturesque, well-stocked three-acre fly-only loch, where anglers can catch a variety of fish, including rainbow, blue, brown, and tiger trout. Fishing reservations can be made directly with the owners. The nearby town of Dumfries provides all the amenities expected of a small town, including an ice rink, swimming pool, and a mix of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, and major supermarkets, some of which offer delivery services. Dumfries is rich in historical significance, with connections to notable figures such as Robert the Bruce and Robert Burns, whose farm, Ellisland, is just five miles north in Holywood. Visitors can explore the enchanting Moat Brae House, which inspired J.M. Barrie's creation of Peter Pan, now serving as a visitor center aimed at igniting the imagination of all ages. Families will find plenty to do, as Alderneuk Lodge is conveniently located about 15 minutes from attractions like Mabie Farm Park and Dalscone Farm Park, along with many other sites that cater to children and adults alike.

The lodge is well-situated for various outdoor activities, including wildlife-watching, walking, hill-walking, and golfing, as well as visits to local landmarks such as Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey. The area offers a diverse range of environments to explore, from forests to coastal regions and sandy beaches. Alderneuk Lodge accommodates three guests on a single level, featuring a king-size bedroom with an ensuite shower room, a single bedroom, and a family bathroom. Amenities include LPG central heating, smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a gravel parking area. Please note that pets are not allowed due to the presence of livestock in surrounding fields, and a minimum two-night stay applies for bookings.
