Guests can choose between a sleek breakfast bar that seats three or a traditional dining table that overlooks the scenic glen. For those who enjoy outdoor dining, the patio doors open onto a decked area equipped with seating and a gas BBQ, perfect for al fresco meals.

Located a short stroll from the lodge, Alderneuk Fishery offers a picturesque, well-stocked three-acre fly-only loch, where anglers can catch a variety of fish, including rainbow, blue, brown, and tiger trout. Fishing reservations can be made directly with the owners. The nearby town of Dumfries provides all the amenities expected of a small town, including an ice rink, swimming pool, and a mix of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, and major supermarkets, some of which offer delivery services.
