No smoking. . Ivy Nest Cottage is a home from home, providing comfortable accommodation for up to three guests in two cosy bedrooms. Upon arrival the cottage is not visible from the street, it is accessed via a ginnel, through a wrought iron gate clearly signed above ‘Ivy Nest’. On entering the property, you are greeted by an open plan living space. After eating, settle down for the evening on the sumptuous sofa, enjoy the warmth of the fire as your favourite show or movies play out on the TV, after a long day exploring the area. Your fully fitted kitchen awaits you providing everything you need to rustle up those home cooked meals. Not fancy cooking? Why not treat yourself to a local restaurant. When sleep calls, you have one double bedroom and one single day bed to choose from, situated on the first and second floor. Sink down and rest your head, to recharge ready for an action-packed day ahead. The family bathroom can also be found on the first floor benefitting from a bath with shower over, and wash hand basin.
This special place is close to everything, including nearby shops, pubs, and restaurants within walking distance on the doorstep. It’s also close to great walking, with Pendle Hill and Wycoller close by, Skipton and Bronte Country are a short journey away. Colne itself has got great links with music and the famous Rhythm and Blues Festival is held here in August every year, with visitors coming from far and wide to not only visit, but to perform at many of the live venues across the town. The town is also known for Wallace Hartley, the bandmaster on the RMS Titanic that famously played till the ship sank. The local pub, within walking distance is named after him. There are many pubs and venues that offer live music on the doorstep.
In Colne, there are a variety of bars some more lively, whilst at the bottom end of town, there are several new bars and eating places that have opened, with a more chilled vibe. The Italian restaurant is a two-minute walk away, as is an Indian restaurant and many takeaways available also.
