We overlook the harbour and has fabulous views of it and Damien Hurst's Verity. Watch the ships, fishing boats and occasionally dolphins! Ilfracombe's bars and restaurants only a five minute walk away too.. You’ll love my place because the apartment is tastefully furnished and has a really spacious light feel to it.We provide most things to help your stay be an enjoyable one. Relax on the balcony with a glass perhaps. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The apartment is private and has no shared space. It is accessed by a central stairway (there are 3 apartments accessed from the stairs) The bedroom is at the rear, and although it doesn't face out to sea, it has a very sunny outlook as it's south facing. The bed is comfortable and there is a TV which plays DVDs and CDs, but has no aerial attached.
The sitting room TV has Freeview and you can access Netflix and so on. There is a very comfortable sofa, a dining table which seats 4, a smaller sofa and fabulous views over the harbour and across to Wales. There is a monocular provided to watch the boats . In the cupboard you'll also find ironing board and iron, should you feel the urge to iron while you're there. On a more relaxing note, there is my old Fender guitar, if you fancy playing. Also are art materials, jigsaws and yoga mats, for your use.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over. The plug is operated by turning the chrome control where the overflow is. It's all new, with a thermostatic bar shower. It is good and hot, but turn it up!!
The kitchen is small, but well-appointed and should have everything you need. If you're using the oven, please use the foil provided, as it saves me having to clean it every two days. I'd really appreciate it being left in the same condition you find it in.
The whole apartment is private for yourselves. Once you're in, please make yourselves comfortable and know that you won't be disturbed.
If you have any problems, or need any advice please phone or text me on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). I'm usually in Ilfracombe too, and can come and sort out problems or give advice as to the best places to eat, or what's on in Ilfracombe
It's only a 5 minute walk down into the harbour, and from there you can find pubs, restaurants, galleries and so forth. The High Street is also very close by. There are beautiful walks, around Ilfracombe itself or along the coast - west towards Lee over the Torrs, then on to Woolacombe if you're feeling energetic, or along to Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin to the east.
There are wildlife tours on ribs which go from the harbour (and are just great fun - bouncing over the waves, but not getting wet in the process) and out to Lundy. Ilfracombe has a really good music scene too. Check out the Chill Bar, and the Pier for great live music. On Sunday afternoons, the Sunny sundays live music and the Pier is really fun.
It's such a short walk down (but longer coming home) that taking a car into town isn't probably needed. There is parking at Lidl, if you're going shopping, but otherwise walking is the best way round, and a taxi back would cost very little. Mike's Taxi's or A2B are the two I'd recommend.
Parking is available, but please park with consideration to others and ensuring cars can get past to access the other properties nearby. Thank you

Woolacombe Beach, which is
in the top beaches worldwide and the No1 beach in the UK is only 10 miles away - or a 15 minute drive.

This vacation home is located in Ilfracombe. Ilfracombe Harbour and South West Coast Path Section 4 Trailhead are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore North Devon Coast and Exmoor National Park. Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park are also worth visiting.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
