Get right away from it all at the Shepherd’s Hut @ Chichester Cottage – a restful retreat, nestled in the quiet beauty of rural West Ashling, 5 miles west of Chichester, at the foot of the South Downs. Looking out over a stone circle, the hut has its own pond and sits in the tranquil and lovely grounds of Graingers Farm, providing an idyllic setting for a peaceful escape to the country.

Our bespoke Shepherd’s Hut was hand-crafted and built locally. Climbing up the wooden stairs, guests step into a charming and cosy getaway. There is a built-in sofa at one end that magically turns into a very comfy double bed at night, with duvets and pillows tucked away in drawers below (fresh linen and towels are provided). A dining table lifts out from the wall when eating inside. There is a small kitchen area equipped with a fridge, microwave and kettle, along with all you might need for basic food preparation. The bathroom is fresh and bright with a basin, shower and toilet. The hut is heated and also offers a wood-burning stove to bring that extra bit of warmth on a chilly evening.

Step outside with a morning coffee by the pond in the peace and quiet of the garden or sit alfresco enjoying a glass of wine and barbecue in the evening.

Located in Chichester, this mobile home is in a rural area. Fishbourne Roman Palace and Chichester Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Lakeside Superbowl and South Downs Planetarium and Science Centre. West Sussex Falconry and West Sands Fun Fair are also worth visiting.
