Guests can easily access the open forest, where they might encounter the famous wild New Forest ponies. Additionally, the local village is just a short walk away, offering a selection of pubs with excellent food, tea rooms, and shops. For those looking to explore further, bike hire is available in the village, and there is convenient storage for personal bicycles in the barn. For relaxation, visitors can indulge in beauty treatments at a nearby beautician.
Inside the cottage, the ground floor features a cozy sitting room with a television, comfortable seating, and a dining area. The compact kitchen, while not suited for gourmet cooking, is functional for preparing breakfasts and light meals, equipped with essential appliances including an integrated fridge, a two-ring hob, a microwave, and a combi oven. The bathroom offers a unique double-ended bath with a hand shower, along with a separate cloakroom for added convenience. The upstairs double bedroom features a luxurious 6' kingsize bed that can be converted into twin beds for longer stays, and there is a cozy reading corner just outside the bedroom.
The property also provides ample private parking in the stable yard, where guests can interact with the resident horses, Donni and Sid, under supervision. With over 30 years of residence in the area, the owners are passionate about the local wildlife and the stunning landscapes that make this region one of the most unique in England. Nearby attractions include Burley Golf Club, Brockenhurst Manor Golf Club, Paultons Family Theme Park, and the Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre, ensuring that guests have a wide range of activities to choose from during their stay.
