Town: The North York Moors National Park encompasses the charming settlement of Castleton, nestled in the Esk Valley. There are two pubs in the village that serve excellent meals, a convenience shop, a deli, and a tea room that are all within walking distance of one other. Esk Valley and Whitby are served by a railway station that connects with the steam line to Pickering, a beautiful market town. Nearby lies the Camphill Village Trust community of Botton, which has artisan workshops and shops that sell home-made food, craft goods, and literature.

Located in Whitby, this farm stay is in a rural area and on a river. Gillies Jones Glass and Ryedale Folk Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Danby Castle and Rosedale Abbey. The Moors National Park Centre and Museum of Victorian Science are also worth visiting.
