Positioned in the scenic countryside near to Hadrians Wall, and the village of Bardon Mill, adjoining the owners property, although privacy is assured, and was previously lived in by Catherine Cookson, while she wrote the Mallen series. Visit Vindolanda, a Roman settlement which is the most extensive site to be seen along Hadrian s Wall. Other attractions in the area include Housesteads Fort which is within a short distance from the property and offers plenty of scenic walks or Hareshaw Linn waterfall in Northumberland National Park. On a clear night, with the dark skies you can see thousands of stars, recognise constellations such as Orion and maybe even see the International Space Station as it orbits the earth. Access this property through the door which is designed to look like a garage door, and step into the hallway. Once through the porch, you will find yourself in the welcoming open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has comfy sofa, wood burner and TV/DVD. The dining area has seating for two, whilst the bright kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine and microwave. There is also a shower room with WC on the ground floor. The staircase leads up to the first floor, to the spacious super king size zip and link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) and en suite WC. Outside the property is a south facing sheltered private decking area and small garden, where you can sit at your leisure and enjoy a sunrise with your morning coffee. There is parking available to the front of the property for one car.
