The Cairngorms, Aberdeenshire

2

Purpose built with holidaymakers in mind, the yurt provides fantastic accommodation for those looking to stay somewhere quirky with plenty of places to explore. Brilliant for outdoor lovers, there are plentiful walks and hills to climb the Cairngorm mountain itself is less than one hour s drive away and is popular all year round with Munro baggers and skiing enthusiasts. For those who enjoy life at a slower pace, Speyside is the home of more than half of all Scottish whisky distilleries, so the Malt Whisky Trail is well worth a trip. You are also ideally placed for exploring the Moray coastline and Aberdeenshire both within an hour s drive away. Entrance to the yurt is via some decked steps from ground level up to the door. The yurt consists of an open sleeping area with a multifuel stove as the central focal point of the property, so you can keep toasty and warm. The yurt has been furnished and decorated in an Oriental style, with rugs and pictures that have been collected by the owner during their travels across the world. After a day of exploring, you can catch a good night's sleep in the king size bed. There is also a sofa which can fold down into a single bed and a folding table with chairs which is ideal for mealtimes, which can be put away when not in use to give you more space. There is a TV which can be used to watch DVD s only. The kitchen is compact yet contains an electric hob, microwave and fridge. Next door to this is the shower room with WC and wash basin. There is garden seating to the front of the yurt, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet during the day in the sunshine, as well as in the evenings where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Northern lights at certain times of the year.
