The thriving market town is renowned for its independent shops and is a major centre for antiques. Take a day out to Westonbirt National Arboretum (4 miles) for beautiful walks, or Cotswold Water Park (10 miles) is a great opportunity to try some water based activities. The Roman town of Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, is 10 miles away and well worth a visit to learn about its Roman history, with the Corinium Museum being a highlight. It is also the perfect spot for attending the Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials. Just outside Tetbury is Chavenage House, a beautiful Elizabethan manor house that is open to the public all year round. After a busy day exploring, make your way back to this charming cottage ideally located just off the town centre. Head straight into a living area with its wood burner, comfortable seating and dining table for two. Continue through into the fully equipped kitchen, ideal for a self catered break utilising the fantastic local produce you will find in the area. On the first floor, the owners have created another living area with a sofa and Smart TV, perfect for enjoying a movie together. Also on this floor is the cosy bathroom. The bedroom is up on the second floor with a king size bed, a partially sloping ceiling and a low window. Heading outside, there is a courtyard garden area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ, a great space to enjoy a drink or dine alfresco. There is also an outdoor utility cupboard which houses a washing machine.
