A unique highlight of the area is the opportunity to ride The Jacobite steam train, which offers a nostalgic journey from Fort William to Mallaig, allowing passengers to absorb the magnificent landscapes along the way. For those who prefer a more tranquil experience, various boat trips on the loch provide the chance to relax while keeping an eye out for local wildlife, including dolphins, seals, red deer, and the majestic golden eagle. The bothy itself is thoughtfully designed, featuring a welcoming entrance that leads into a boot room, with an open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area to the right. The stylishly fitted kitchen is equipped with modern amenities, including an electric oven, induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, along with a washer/dryer conveniently located in the boot room. The spacious dining table serves as a focal point between the kitchen and lounge, while the lounge area, complete with a Smart TV and a cozy wood burner, offers sliding patio doors that frame breathtaking views of the loch and surrounding countryside.
The accommodation includes a king-size bedroom adorned with beautiful handcrafted wooden furniture and two windows that provide picturesque views of the water. A shower room with a WC is accessible from the hallway connecting the bedroom and main living space. Outside, the garden is primarily laid to lawn and features a perimeter fence, although it is important to note that this fence is not entirely dog-proof due to the desire to maintain unobstructed views of the loch. With livestock present in the surrounding fields year-round, guests are advised to keep dogs under control. The patio area, furnished with garden furniture, invites relaxation while enjoying the spectacular horizon views. Additionally, parking for one car is available on the gravel driveway, complete with an electric car charging point for convenience.
