The cottage itself, part of the Joules Collection, boasts a history dating back to the 17th century and showcases quintessentially British features throughout its stylishly designed interior. Upon entering through the charming old front door, guests are welcomed into a cozy lounge/diner adorned with white walls, washed oak flooring, and white shuttered windows. The inviting lounge area features a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, perfect for romantic evenings spent in front of the TV, while a cozy reading nook with aged leather chairs invites relaxation with a morning coffee and the newspaper.
Adjacent to the lounge, the dining area presents a lovely white scrubbed pine table complemented by oak shaker chairs, leading into a delightful shaker kitchen equipped with modern conveniences including an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. As the day winds down, guests can retreat to the first floor, where they will find a beautifully appointed king-size bedroom featuring a luxurious pillow-topped bed and elegant bed linen, alongside a hand-painted roll-top bath for added indulgence. A separate shower room with WC is also available on this floor, ensuring comfort and convenience.
Outside, the cottage offers a serene garden space where guests can unwind with a glass of wine in the evening sun. The secluded patio area is furnished with a table and chairs, providing an inviting spot to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, there is off-road parking available for one car. While the property is welcoming to babes in arms, it is important to note that it is not suitable for toddlers, as no travel cot or high chair is provided, ensuring a serene atmosphere for adult guests.
