Head just 3.5 miles to the village of Cartmel, famous for its racecourse and excellent restaurants, or wander the promenade of Grange over Sands (5 miles) and peruse its shops and parks. Windermere (11 miles) is the ideal place to spend a day, wandering the lake s shores and taking a boat trip. Sample mint cake in Kendal (14.5 miles), or head to Grasmere (19.5 miles) to taste their world famous gingerbread. Climb to the summit of Whitbarrow Fell (8 miles), known as the Lord s Seat, and take in the fantastic panoramic views. As you step into the property, you re welcomed by the gorgeous farmhouse style kitchen. Pastel colours in the cupboards and tiles fill it with character, and you ll find everything you need to cook up tasty food in here. There s a Rayburn, combination microwave oven, fridge freezer and a dining table to enjoy your meals at. Moving through to the lounge, exposed beams and a wood burner effect electric fire entice you to sink back into the sofa in front of the TV. Off the lounge is the sunroom which is a lovely place to enjoy a book or simply to look out onto the patio.
