Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and fuel for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Grounds with patio, barbecue and garden furniture. Barbecue hut with bar, pig roast burner, pizza oven and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site, charges apply). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced lake in the grounds. . Shropshire Glamping is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning countryside. All the accommodation is designed, built, and individually styled with luxury furnishings and fixtures. The Geo Dome, Summerhouse and Kingfisher Pod are set around the lake, each with their own view and where the huge variety of interesting geese and birdlife gather including a kingfisher family, grebe and tufted ducks. The Willow Shepherd’s Hut nestles in the oak tree field, has views over the field and across the stream towards the lake and is reached by foot along a gravelled walkway.
The Willow Hut is uniquely decorated and finished with cleverly designed features to make use of the comfy space available. A raised ‘cabin-style’ kingsize bed has the same level view through the window along the field to the oak tree. Under the bed is where the clever attention to detail can be appreciated. A pull-out hideaway table with 2 padded benches can be pulled out when dining, drinking or just sitting. One of the benches can be pulled out slightly and used to climb onto the raised bed. The bathroom has a full-size shower, beautiful granite sink and corner toilet. The hut is lit inside and out with lovely industrial-style lighting. The double ‘stable door’ style doors lead out onto the steps to the garden patio where there is a table and chairs, barbeque and fire pit. There is a newly planted small orchard and shrubs. To stock up your kitchen, head to Shawbury, 10 minutes away, where you’ll find a small supermarket a bakery, takeaway restaurants, and an organic farm shop.
Venture into Shrewsbury where there’s a variety of things to do making it a great day out. Shrewsbury is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat; the River Severn is a must, as is the array of independents from cafes to boutique shops, the castle, the old market hall featuring local artists and lovely shops and eateries, all in the picturesque market town with over 1,000 years of history.
The Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is home to The Wrekin, ’or little mountain’, which is a well-known landmark that dominates the skyline for miles. Sitting at 407 metres, it is popular with hikers and walkers as it offers superb views over Shropshire. Further afield takes you to the medieval market town of Ludlow, famous for its castle as well as many food and drink festivals throughout the year to enjoy. Take a trip to the town of Bridgnorth, home to The Severn Valley Steam Railway, explore the World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge or discover the numerous National Trust properties of Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, Sunnycroft House and Carding Mill Valley all within easy reach.
The owners offer delightful breakfast packs, just ask them directly prior to your arrival. Access to the accommodation is reached by foot via the gravelled pathways. The owners can transport belongings for you with their utility buggy. Use of large vintage/industrial style barbeque hut with large charcoal barbeque, pig roast burner, pizza oven and sit-up bar area, table, and chairs. Lit with fairy lights inside which can be decorated and set for special occasions (extra charge applies).
