Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, St Bees is an idyllic base for your next holiday, and Little Nook provides everything you need for a memorable stay. It is also the starting point of Alfred Wainwright’s famous coast to coast walk. St Bees gives you good access to an abundance of fells and lakes, within a short drive.

Little Nook is only ¾-mile from a beautiful sandy beach, which is perfect for a breath of fresh air and also good for exercising your four-legged friends. Dogs are welcome to come and stay and there’s plenty of good walks locally. The famous St Bees priory dating back to the 11th century is well worth a visit, and can be accessed on foot in 5 minutes. If you like outdoor adventure including walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery, and you are only a 10-mile drive from the Lake District National Park. Your nearest lake is Ennerdale which is regarded as one of the most unspoilt and natural parts of the Lake District, where wildlife is abundant, including buzzards, red squirrels and osprey to name a few. If you want to climb the highest mountain in England, you can reach Wasdale Head in just 18 miles, which gives you the shortest route to the summit of Scafell Pike. Or why not take a trip on the La’al Ratty which is a miniature steam railway along the South West coast? For golfers, St Bees offers an excellent 9-hole links course. From Little Nook you’re never far from the mountains, the coast, the beaches or the lakes. Beach ¾ mile. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Located in St Bees, this cottage is on a river. Muncaster Castle and Eskdale Mill are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Lake District Coast Aquarium and Catbells Lakeland Walk. West Coast Indoor Karting and Go Ape Whinlatter are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
