Look no further that this lovely spacious couple’s retreat within walking distance of the picturesque small market town centre of Shipton-on-Stour. Located next door to the friendly owners’ home, you have your own private garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening tipple. The well-equipped kitchen provides you with everything needed to cook up a lovely meal, but should you want the night or even week off, there is plenty of choice for eateries within easy walking distance. The large living and dining space which overlooks the owners’ pretty garden, is the ideal spot to relax in after a busy day sightseeing and exploring. Upstairs you are greeted by an inviting kingsize bed in the large bedroom which sits next door the spacious bathroom with the choice of a relaxing soak in the roll-top bath or an awakening shower in the separate shower cubicle.
Shipston is popular with visitors due to its mix of shops, pubs and restaurants and enjoys a leisure centre with a swimming pool. There are lots of activities in Shipston and the surrounding areas, with concerts, farmers’ markets, festivals and guided walks often available. The Cotswolds is right on your doorstep where you can discover many quintessential towns and villages including Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Chipping Norton, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, all within 15 miles. Slightly further is the historic Blenheim Palace in Woodstock. Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon is within 10 miles, and you can visit the many historic houses associated with William Shakespeare, take in one of his plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre or simply enjoy the shops and eateries or a boat trip along the river. Within an hour’s drive are Oxford, Warwick, Bicester, Cheltenham, and Gloucester, with history, shopping, museums and culture readily available.
