There is so much to see and do within a short distance of Oaklands, from nearby gardens and historic homes to beautiful coastlines and beaches an hour away … and we haven’t forgotten the practicalities of where to shop for supplies! The market town of Welshpool offers an abundance of shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore.
Or why not discover the nearby Powys Castle with its beautiful gardens or take a steam train ride on the narrow-gauge railway through the Banwy Valley to Llanfair Caereinion? A visit to the old county town of Montgomery is a must, with its ancient architecture and ruined castle. Travel further into Wales to experience the majestic beauty of Snowdonia National Park or visit one of the many lovely seaside towns along the Welsh coast. Pub and restaurant 2¾ mile.
