Originally built in 1745 and named Mount Amelia, this Grade II listed country house boasts a wealth of character and spacious accommodations. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a split landing entrance hall leading to a large drawing room, complete with comfortable seating, an 18th-century open fire, a games table, and a Smart TV/DVD. The Long Room serves as another inviting reception area with a dining space for twelve, alongside a coffee room that offers garden views and an open fire. The fully equipped kitchen features an AGA-style double oven, an American-style fridge/freezer, and a breakfast table, while a utility room and pantry add to the convenience of the ground floor.
The property also includes a fantastic TV/games room with a pool table, table tennis, and a cozy wood burner, along with a formal dining room on the lower ground floor that accommodates 16 to 24 guests. Moving to the first floor, guests will find nine well-appointed bedrooms, each with unique features. The South Wing room offers a king-size four-poster bed and an en suite bathroom, while the Green room has a king-size antique bed and garden views. The master bedroom features a four-poster bed and an en suite bathroom, complemented by a study room for added convenience. Additional bedrooms include Jack's room with an antique four-poster bed, Bara's room with a roll-top bath, and the Sweet Pea room with interconnecting access to the North Wing twin room.
