The property provides an excellent base for exploring the stunning East and North Yorkshire coastlines, the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the countryside.
The interior of the property boasts a light and airy dining room that comfortably seats 18, complete with enough space for dancing. The high ceilings showcase original beams and grain hatch details, while an oak spiral staircase leads to the spacious lounge, which occupies the upper floor of the granary. This inviting space offers comfortable seating for 16 guests, with the option to accommodate 18, and features a large flat-screen TV with a full Sky package. Additionally, guests can enjoy five spacious bedrooms, each equipped with a seating area and flat-screen TV with Freeview, as well as unlimited Wi-Fi access. The outdoor dining area and private courtyard with a hot tub enhance the overall experience.
Historically, the property was part of Burton Agnes Station, with the tallest section originally serving as the grain store for loading grain onto railway carriages. Many of the original features have been preserved, including the beams found in the Platinum and Britannia suites. Although Burton Agnes Station is no longer in operation, a speed-restricted train service still passes by twice an hour during peak times, providing a quaint backdrop rather than a disturbance, as guests have described it as "endearing rather intrusive." Importantly, the railway line is inaccessible from the house or garden, ensuring privacy and safety for visitors.
