The Lodge is a charming three-storey detached home located on the edge of Grantham, Lincolnshire, in the East of England. Originally built as the Estate Manager's residence, it offers spacious accommodations for up to 20 guests, with the capacity to host parties of up to 40 people in its expansive family room. The property is conveniently situated just an hour from London by train and around two and a half hours from cities like Bristol, Manchester, and Durham, making it an ideal getaway. Access is simple via the A1 and A52, and the nearby train station provides direct services from London, complemented by ample off-road parking for guests upon arrival.
Upon entering The Lodge, guests are greeted by a spacious entrance hall adorned with parquet flooring, leading into a beautifully decorated sitting room that features plush seating, an open fire, and a television for relaxation. The heart of the home is the impressive living/dining room, characterized by timber-clad vaulted ceilings and an array of seating options, including three leather sofas and a swing seat. This room also boasts a second television for entertainment. The well-equipped kitchen is a chef's dream, featuring monochrome shaker-style cabinetry and a range of high-end appliances, including double electric ovens, a steamer oven, a microwave, and an AGA range. Guests can enjoy meals at the breakfast bar, in the dining area, or at the formal dining table that accommodates the entire group.
As night falls, guests can retreat to one of the seven bedrooms, with four located on the first floor. These include a super-king-size room with an en-suite shower and TV, a room with bunk beds, a double with a sofa bed, and another double, all serviced by a luxurious bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk-in shower. The second floor houses three additional bedrooms, including another double, a triple room with a sofa bed, and a family room that combines a double and a single bed. Each room is filled with natural light courtesy of Velux windows, and the second floor also features a cloakroom and a separate shower for convenience.
The Lodge's outdoor space is equally impressive, featuring a one-acre garden with lush lawns, a hot tub, and a children's play area, ensuring fun for all ages. The location offers easy access to attractions such as Belton House National Trust, which is just 2.7 miles away and includes a fantastic adventure playground for children. Nearby towns like Belvoir Castle, Stamford, Newark, and Lincoln offer a variety of visitor attractions and dining options. For sports enthusiasts, Trent Bridge and the City Ground are approximately 30 minutes away, as are the Burghley Horse Trials held every September. With numerous golf courses within an hour's drive, including the renowned Belton Park Golf Club, The Lodge is the perfect venue for creating lasting memories or celebrating special occasions in style.
